Life is Better at The Lake Welcome Sign
Bring the feeling of slow summer days to your cabin, lake house, or backyard with our Life is Better at The Lake Metal Sign. This design features a view of a person in a canoe headed towards shore that makes it a perfect fit for anyone who feels most at home by the lake.
Each sign is cut from mild steel in our Saskatchewan shop and is available in 18", 24", and 36" sizes. Choose a classic painted matte black finish for a clean, finished look, or select raw steel if you prefer a more rustic, natural metal appearance.
This sign works beautifully as cabin décor, lake house wall art, patio décor, boathouse décor, or a gift for someone who spends every chance they get at the lake.

Every welcome sign in this collection starts as an original hand-drawn design.
In a market where many metal signs are made from purchased files or stock artwork, we are working to create pieces that feel more personal, more intentional, and more connected to real life. Each design is drawn by us, turned into cut-ready artwork, and then made from steel in our shop.
My drawing style leans toward candid moments rather than perfectly posed, picture-perfect scenes. I want these designs to feel like a small snapshot in time - a mare standing with her foal, a quiet moment in the pasture, or a familiar scene you might recognize from your own yard, barn, or acreage.
We are not trying to be the biggest or fanciest metal art company out there. We are simply putting in the time to create original designs that feel true to the people, animals, and rural places that inspire them.
Our goal is to create welcome signs that do more than fill a space on the wall. We want each piece to feel like it has a bit of story, care, and character built into it from the very beginning.
All products are dispatched from Wroxton, Saskatchewan. Don't know where that is? You're not alone. It is located 40km from any amenities, though our tiny town is very fortunate to have a Canada Post Office. We value the Post Office, and in an effort to support it, we ship exclusively with Canada Post. Shipping times may vary. Tracking numbers will be issued.
Shipping is $30 across Canada for The Welcome to the Cabin Bear Sign.
Raw Steel Finish
Every raw steel product is unique. Your item may include natural color variations, heat marks, and grinder marks from the fabrication process. All edges and surfaces are cleaned and smoothed before shipping.
Want a Rustic Patina?
Leave your product exposed to the weather and it will naturally develop a rich orange-brown patina over time. Once you've achieved the look you want, apply a clear coat to preserve it.
Want to Keep the Raw Steel Look?
To maintain the industrial steel appearance, wipe the surface with isopropyl alcohol and apply a clear coat shortly after receiving your product. Uncoated steel will naturally begin to rust when exposed to moisture and humidity.
Painted Finish
Painted products arrive ready to display and are protected from the elements. Simply clean with mild soap and water as needed.
Custom Colors
Looking for a color we don't offer? Select the raw steel option and apply your preferred paint color after receiving your product.
