Steel Stake Plant Markers

Some ideas come from a sketch.
These came from a garden that got away from me.

Growing up, we always had a big garden - the kind that fed you through the winter. I carried that into adulthood… but somewhere around mid-summer, when the weeds start winning, things tend to fall apart.

When we moved into our current property, the garden came with a full-on thistle problem. By July, it was less “vegetable garden” and more “I might accidentally be farming thistle.” The biggest issue wasn’t just the weeds, it was losing track of what was planted where.

So I built markers tall enough to stay visible no matter what.

The original design came in at 30 inches: built to rise above the chaos and still show you where your carrots should be. After launching them, the feedback was clear... Not everyone is dealing with a jungle.

So we scaled it.

The same design is now available in three sizes:

Field - for large gardens, long rows, or anyone battling weeds head-on
Garden - a practical size for everyday gardens and raised beds
Starter - small, durable markers for seed trays and early planting

All part of the Steel Stake Plant Marker line, designed to replace plastic markers that fade, snap, or disappear halfway through the season.

Sometimes the best products aren’t planned. They’re built because you got tired of dealing with the same problem every year.


Still working on keeping the weeds under control.. but at least now I know where everything is.
